DON'T. Get as far away as you can. I have heard about Colorado College, DU, and Colorado State, and they all are so much better than University Colorado in Boulder. Heck, even University Colorado Colorado Springs has better profs than CU Boulder!!!

If you're half intelligent you should have no problem whatsoever. Get a good ACT score and a good GPA 3.8 or more and you're in like flin. But don't come here unless you don't value happiness.

I transferred in from out of state after my sophomore year at a lesser-known liberal arts college. I had about a B+ average, with my gpa in my major close to a 4.0. I was in a couple clubs, but had real non-academic factors to speak of, although my essay was probably good and unique.

Unfortunate but true: if you are an adequate out of state student, the school seems hard up enough for cash at this point to accept you. I was just a decent student looking for a good school with great skiing, and I found it.
